Obert Life is Good

After two heart attacks and a ruptured appendix in less than three years, Mary & I have adopted a new philosophy about life, and that Life is Good. We try to take nothing too seriously, and have as much fun as possible. Work will always be there tomorrow. Sorry Liz- Don't hold your breath for your inheritance!

Perry Park 2008

Labor Day Weekend marked our annual couples golf weekend. This year we went to Perry Park near Carrollton, Kentucky. Perry Park has 27 holes so we were able to mix up the 3 days of golf among the three 9-hole tracks. The Park is in a valley surrounded by the Bluegrass hills, very pretty.

Joining us this year were Caroline and Kevin Drews, old neighbors of Mary Beth and Kent. Unfortunately they had to leave early to deal with a family emergency. We hope their ordeal ends quickly and peacefully, and that God's grace is upon them and their family.

We have so much fun on this trip with these great friends every year. Kent, Mary Beth, Mary and I all played golf on Friday afternoon on the way down to Perry Park, so we played four rounds in four days. This is a warm-up for our Myrtle Beach trip that we will be going on in about a month. We'll be playing eight rounds starting in Waynesville NC and ending in Pawley's Island SC.
